Maluma Land was a one of a kind weekend experience in June of 2022. Three days of electric performances curated by Maluma, taking place at Resorts World in Las Vegas, NV. On Location partnered with the hotel along with Synergy Group to produce the event which featured performances by Maluma, Becky G, Zion Y Lennox, DJ Snake, Blessd, and more.
As a part of the early design exploration, I created a fly through video rendering to show the overall vibe and how we can leverage the space at RedTail in Resorts World to bring Maluma Land to life.
I was also responsible for creating rendered digital backgrounds that could be used to populate various screens throughout Resorts World, Zouk Nightclub, Capital Bar, and Ayu Day Club. The concept that was selected was the idea of this jungle that has other-worldly neon elements floating throughout with a layer of haze. The colored lights and overall ambiance of each screen changed with each individual day of performances. We then layered motion graphics over top of these rendered backgrounds. You can see some in-situ examples of the renderings above in the ceiling of the night club bar and as the background behind the colorful plants inside of the arches.
